Swimming
|
With
both indoor and outdoor pools, including an outdoor wading
pool for the little ones, swimming is a year-round part of
the fun at Deer Valley Racquet Club. The outdoor season
generally runs from around Memorial Day to sometime after
Labor Day, depending on the weather. Our indoor pool is open
all year long and may be reserved for private parties. Swim
lessons are available with a certified instructor.
Our
outdoor pool received a major facelift before this year’s
opening and a similar upgrade is planned for the indoor pool
in the near future. Other programs that are in the works or
planned for the future include activities such as water
aerobics and pool volleyball, poolside food service with the
opening of our restaurant facility, towel service, and scuba
classes.
No
lifeguards are on duty at DVRC, so members and their guests
are cautioned to play and swim with care and keep a close
eye on younger swimmers especially. DVRC pools have a
maximum depth of only 5 feet, so no diving is allowed at any
time due the risk of severe injury. Responsible use of DVRC
pool facilities is a must for the ongoing enjoyment of all. Whether you’re looking to swim some laps in the quiet morning hours, spend a relaxing poolside afternoon enjoying the summer sun, or bring out the kids and all their friends for a pool party, Deer Valley’s swimming pools offer something for everyone. |
