While the spectacle of sirens breeding an hour‑long traffic ballet could have salted my curiosity, the real fodder was the orchestration of the guest list—kids, officers, and a few bewildered families—snagging the public’s attention like well‑worn applause crowns. I noted the meticulous timing: a 60‑minute window designed to avoid the Main Street crush that usually bisects the town. Yet, the perspective from the park‑side diners, the carousel of orange mochi colors, and the faint resonance of sneakers echoing off the ski‑lift turned into a mirror of spectacle. While the hawkers offered glassy bouquets of champagne, I could not resist noting the strategic placement of a nutrition bar to keep the agitators hydrated. Verdict: Send a check but stay home.
